Yes, parts of Brooklyn can look like the countryside. This particularly idyllic scene was smack in the middle of a city playground. Heather and Mathew were married at a small, intimate ceremony at the Stone Park Cafe in Park Slope and we had this great location just across the street.

Heather & Mathew I Old Stone House I Brooklyn wedding portraits
Friday, May 24th, 2013Meera I Fun Beach Portraits
Friday, May 10th, 2013Now that summer is just around the corner and thoughts drift to vacations and beach time it seemed appropriate to post these images from a portrait session with my favorite niece. Kids grow so fast. Though she’s only ten years-old I realize she’s on the verge of being a teenager. It reminds me how important is to have photographs of kids as they grow up to capture those changes. Just looking at these photos makes me think of sunny summer days to come. Love that California light. The lucky girl gets to enjoy the beach year round in Manhattan Beach.
Katherine and Burkett I The Metropolitan Building
Thursday, May 2nd, 2013Katherine and Burkett didn’t want to gamble with our iffy New York Spring weather and chose a wonderful indoor venue in Long Island City, The Metropolitan Building. It’s a fantastic location for any kind of photo shoot because it has great light and lots of cool rooms and props to work with. I wanted to post a few of the portraits from their wedding. I’ll put together a longer post on their wedding day soon. Stay tuned.
