A theological seminary for an Indian wedding is so very New York City…a dash of this and a little bit of that in the giant melting pot of a city. I loved that Nisha felt comfortable enough in her first email to me to go into detail about her and Malik’s story. I immediately felt a connection and knew it would be a great fit for us to work together. I’d just worked on a photo reportage on the Gulf Coast for the ten year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina for CBS News before meeting both of them in person for the first time for their engagement session. Since Malik was from the great city of New Orleans we had much to connect on besides wedding details. Nisha’s great big smile and the joy that was always so evident were key ingredients to this lovely wedding.
